Tweetcamp by the river
What did you get up to over the weekend? Over here at the Gumtree office, we had the much anticipated Tweetcamp last Saturday. Over 100 people resisted the hot weather, braved the trains (or lack thereof, with the District line not working) and trekked out to our Richmond office for a great day of fun and interaction with fellow Twitterers.
Many passionate conversations were had, new connections made and friends met, lots of good food eaten, and plenty Addlestones cider consumed by the river.
We’re mightily chuffed that Tweetcamp was one of the top 10 talked about things on Twitter on Saturday, making it into the top trending topics on the site. That just truly shows you how much conversation and energy was being generated by the event.
If you want to find out more about Tweetcamp, you can read the official Tweetcamp blog . Some nice people like Neville Hobson, Murray, Amy, Katharine and Billy also blogged their thoughts on the event.
And of course, to help you get a complete the picture of what went on during the day, there are photos. Hundreds of them. Go check them out on Flickr.
Finally, we’d like to give a big shout-out and thank you to our co-sponsors who helped make it such a great event: PayPal, Addlestones, BBC Poetry, Start Up Essentials, MyMuesli, Yelp, and First Signs.
Big thanks to Benjamin Ellis for the picture.
