Re LOL , no i am not double sighs .
Thanks for link Jon , i will check it out :0)
Sighs, you’re complaining about scams in a cartoon post. Might I suggest you take your complaints to the correct channel, the Gumtree feedback forum: http://forums.gumtree.com/viewforum.php?f=6
I’ll contact you by email as well to sort out your issue
Sorry to state the obvious, but I’d bet my bottom dollar (or £100,000s of scam money in the current vernacular of text) that Sighs and Double Sighs are the same person. Weirdo.
you seem quite obsessed!
“Im like a dog with a bone” … i wont let this go :0) .
Well done Sighs, only been a Gumtree follower for a week but what I’m seeing and hearing is sickening. You are taking the time to warn people of what is going on and now you’re being penalised. I think Gumtree should be paying you instead! Seems to be that the “dog” (did you get the pun i used there) on the street knows the scam that’s being pulled and Gumtree seem obviously. WHY ARE THEY TURNING A BLIND EYE? ME WONDERS!!!!!
And it is fine to remove that comment once read but a reply would be nice , my email is used to post this should gumtree wish to contact me .
Well Jon , i posted info on the fake adds to try and warn people . I now find that i can no longer post adds . Why ban someone that protects Gumtree users and continue posting adds that rip people off , it makes no sense .
The figure i state would be worldwide , via google i have found he pulls the same scam in America and Australia , the 1st part of the con costs people £200 . He then claims to be a customs officer and asks for a further $600 for insurance and $400 for a warm crate , people fall for the 2nd part aswell .
I have been monitoring the pets on London Gumtree the last few days , he has been VERY active .
I got my dog from Gumtree , a proper breeder that is now a friend , it is a great site that is sadly ruined by fake adds and the fact that someone who tries to help protect people finds himself banned
I think it’s funny!
LOL @ Ammie in the GT thread link…again!
Hey Sighs, I’m afraid the cartoonist that we use has no experience in detecting fake ads. We do however have a crack team that does detect and remove over 90% of those ads! £100,000s is a big number. How did you work that out?
Rather than playing around making silly cartoons , gumtree should instead worry more about the fake pet adds posted on its site that have seen gumtree members conned out of £100,000s . Wake up .
It’s funny, do love the expressions. Though, it is slightly ‘Gumtree: The fast, online salvation to all your criminal woes.’
